Julieth Forrester Myrie, MScN, BScN, PG Dip. Education, RN, RM

Mrs. Julieth Forrester Myrie is a Senior Nurse Educator at the Ministry of Health and Wellness In-service Training and Education Centre, specializing in Midwifery. With over two decades of experience in clinical nursing and midwifery education, Mrs. Forrester-Nugent Myrie currently brings this wealth of leadership to her role as a Council Member. She also serves as Chair of the Practice, Monitoring and Evaluation Committee, contributing to strengthening professional standards, monitoring nursing practice, and supporting quality improvement in nursing and midwifery services.

She began her career at the Kingston Public Hospital, where she spent twelve years building a strong clinical foundation before shifting her expertise toward nursing education, curriculum development, and professional mentorship. Her academic qualifications include a Certificate in Midwifery from the University Hospital of the West Indies, a BSc in Nursing from the University of Technology, Jamaica, an MSc in Nursing from the UWI School of Nursing, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Mico University College.

An active member of the Nurses Association of Jamaica, she has contributed to several committees over her distinguished career. Beyond her institutional responsibilities, she is deeply committed to church and community service. She serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Children’s Church at the Old Harbour Seventh Day Baptist Church and volunteers as the Secretary of the Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, St. Catherine which affords her the opportunity to demonstrate her passion for leadership and youth development.
