Minimum Educational Requirements For Entry To Nursing & Midwifery Schools – Effective January 2021

General Nursing & Midwifery – Five (5) subjects minimum

Three (4) compulsory subjects, i.e.

1. English Language
2. Biology
3. Mathematics
4. Chemistry or Physics

and one (1) other subjects from the approved subjects list. This subject must be passed at Grades 1-3 (CSEC) or Grades A-C (GCE).

Assistant Nursing – Four (4) subjects minimum

Three (3) compulsory subjects, i.e.

1. English Language
2. Biology
3. Mathematics

and one (1) other subjects from the approved subjects list. This subject must be passed at Grades 1-3 (CSEC) or Grades A-C (GCE).

Compulsory subjects must be passed at Grades 1 or 2 (CSEC) or A or B (GCE).
